I WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF ANYONE ON THE TEAM WOULD LIKE TO JOIN A TEAM TOURNEY AMONGST OURSELVES? IT WOULD BE AN INFORMAL TOURNEY DONE THE SAME WAY AS THE GK MINI TOURNEYS BUT I WOULD KEEP UP WITH THE RESULTS ON PAPER AND KEEP THE TEAM POSTED THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS I WOULD LIKE TO DIVIDE THE TOURNEY INTO THREE PARTS WITH THE LEADING SCORER IN EACH SECTION MOVING ON TO A CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY. THE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS TOURNEY IS WE CAN PLAY FEWER THAN 4 GAMES AT ONCE OR MORE THAN 4 GAMES AT ONCE. IF ANY OF YOU GUYS ARE INTERESTED LET ME KNOW. I WILL EXPLAIN MORE IN DETAIL IF SEVERAL ARE INTERESTED. IF ANYONE KNOWS A BETTER WAY TO DO THIS OR HAS ANY IDEAS ABOUT IT LET ME KNOW. |

What would the time control be? How many concurrent games? What type of tournament - swiss, round robin? Would a postponement also stop the clock in these games? The answer to these issues would effect my decision on whether I can play or not. The concept of the team tournament sounds interesting, but the time control and number of games would have to be something I could work into my schedule. |
| Posted by astinkyfart sitecolony.com 2/27/2004 12:43:57 Play online chess | grandphish Message: this would be round robin. two games against each opponent one as white one as black just as in gk tourneys. time control and concurrent games are up to us. postponment stops these games too as these are regular games. the concept of the tourney is all on paper. all i ask if that everyone play at least two games at once. i want us to be able to have as much time as we want on this but also dont want to be playing this tourney a year from now. any more questions just let me know. |
